128GB Meizu MX3, ‘better than the Galaxy S4 Jack Wong

Meizu’s Jack Wong has never been one to mince words but his claims that the Meizu MX3 will be better than Samsung’s Galaxy S4 are pretty bold even for him!

Meizu are hoping to make up much lost ground with the MX3. Rumours are the 16GB version of the phone will cost 1999 Yuan (without NFC) and will complete directly with the Xiaomi Mi3, while a top of the range model will pack an impressive 128GB of built-in memory! There may also be 32GB and 64GB options available.

Gizchina News of the week

Neither confirming nor denying the details, Jack Wong has been on the forums and also Sina Weibo boasting that his companies new phone will be much better than the Samsung Galaxy S4. In particular Wong claims that the LG display used in the MX3 will offer better visuals and use up to 26% less power than the panel on the S4.

The Meizu MX3 along with the new Flyme 3.0 ROM (seen above) will be officially launched at the WaterCube in Beijing on 2nd September.

If Meizu really wants to throw punches with the SGS4, then they better start adding 5-band UMTS aka W-CDMA, and throw in a good measure of a minimum of 6-band LTE Category 3 (100/150Mb/s) and Bluetooth 4 support.
Otherwise they simply are still far from being up to snuff.

And they better add NFC, all high end phones had NFC for 2 years now but Meizu and Xiaomi forgot about it.

Fail. Still no SD card slot. No FM radio. It’s going to be the size of a note 3. Complete Fail.

Now, if they released a MX3 Mini, a phone that I can carry around in my pockets, and not a man purse. Then they might be on to something.
