The Oppo R1 has been out and about posing for some photos ahead of launch, a premium looking mid-range phone.
The R1 will be one of the next R Series phones to launch in China as a mid-range smartphone for customers wanting a premium feel with higher than average camera specifications.
In fact according to our sources the R1 will feature the same 8 mega-pixel, f2.0 rear camera found on the Meizu MX3! That’s a very impressive camera on the flagship Meizu and quite a treat on a mid-range device.
Other highlights include an all Glass construction which features an anti-fingerprint coating, keeping the glossy body as pristine as new even after being handled with oily hands. As with all R Series Oppo phones the R1 will feature a Mediatek processor, a quad-core MT6589 in this case, dual-SIM support, and micro SD card reader.
A launch date hasn’t been announced but we believe the phone will go on sale before the end of the year at around 2000 Yuan.
I’ve just realised that, currently, to convert Yuan to UK Sterling, you simply divide by ten. So £200.
Are there still manufacturer using the outdated processor?
Beautiful…
