Zopo are obviously very hurt that Mediatek have chosen Meizu over them for the release of the MT6595, they aren’t shy of hiding it either and are trolling pretty hard!
Zopo, in their latest social media posts are taking on Meizu spec for spec with their details of their upcoming Zopo ZP999, which they hope will trounce the Meizu MX4. The image Zopo have released shows a comparison of the forthcoming Zopo ZP999 compared to the Meizu MX4, and on paper the specs are in Zopo’s favour.
Zopo are stating their Zopo ZP998 will have 3GB RAM, a larger 5.5-inch display, 5 mega-pixel front camera and higher Antutu benchmarks. While it has’t been confirmed, the Zopo ZP999 is believed to have the same MT6595 chip and LTE connectivity.

Zopo can troll all they want, at this moment they ain’t selling the zp999 and teasers don’t play their bills. Announcing a phone with future specs is only interesting if you got a timely release to back it up. Wait to long with the release and the specs might not be that interesting anymore

in my opinion 5.5″ screen is disadvantage. zopo also has larger bezels and that’s not good.
I see on the net that the zp999 will cost around $320 at international over 32 countries (not America ?) and its release on october.
The screen is 5.5 and 1080p,14 megapixel with f2.0 and 5 on front,32GB internal storage and there is micro sd slot (dual sim ?)
also with 2700mAh Battery. at least same specs than the “Pro” Version of the MiniHei 3, which both are probably the same phone. for the cam, i think there will be no imx220 but hope to be imx214.
Zopo has some guts putting their phone next to the Meizu MX4! Even a newbie knows you don’t compare camera performance by the pixels. When the ZP990 was released they compared it with the Galaxy Note this same way and it turned out to be terrible. The camera was horrible. Bad memories I don’t want to think about.
Not everyone needs a larger screen with wider bezels, more megapixels does not mean image quality would be better. Besides, people still care that much about Antutu benchmark ? (few thousands points difference won’t really make a difference in real life )
Zopo vs. Meizu in China. Check only the top 10 results (includes all phone models) on Taobao for past 30 days of sales. Zopo = 417. Meizu = 15,397. Yeah, Meizu is worried about being trolled.

zopo needs to have a smaller bezels,bigger battery and a way better camera and camera app to step up to the MX4.
