First Official details of the Ulefone Be Touch 3

ulefone be touch 3

Ulefone are really getting their money’s worth out of the Ulefone Be Touch design with the announcement of a 3rd edition Ulefone Be Touch 3 announced today.

We were originally sent news on the Ulefone Be Touch 3 yesterday, but didn’t publish it until today as some of the hardware parameters were incorrect. Ulefone have now updated their details and we have the final, official and accurate details of the 3rd edition Ulefone Be Touch.

The original Be Touch shipped with a 720p display, Mediatek MT6752 octacore chipset and 2550mAh battery. The Be Touch 2 launched with slight updates including a higher resolution 1920 x 1080 display and larger 3050mAh battery from Sony.

A Ulefone Be Touch 3 has now been announced with more changes to the original Be Touch theme. The 3rd generation phone will come with the same alloy body, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 2.5D glass panel, FHD resolution, fingerprint scanner and 13 mega-pixel Sony IMX214 main camera.

Gizchina News of the week

The changes to the Be Touch 3 include a lower speed 1.3Ghz Mediatek MT6753 octacore SoC and a switch back to the smaller 2550mAh battery. Ulefone haven’t announced why these changes have been made, but a smaller battery and lower spec processor read as ‘cost savings’ to us.

Interestingly Ulefone tell fans not to rush and take part in early Christmas sales of the Be Touch 3, and wait for the pricing and planned discounts for the phone. What do you think of these latest Be Touch 3 hardware changes? How much do you think the 3rd gen phone will sell for?

because you actually used your brain rather than let marketing people telling you what you want.

I’ve read thousands of comments here like: that phone (or company) is crap because they didn’t release Lollipop.

what they don’t know if that Lollipop is installed only on 18% of the active devices worldwide, and people are having more issues than benefits.

they should care of having a phone that works well, with good specs and hopefully that last at least a couple of years.

I love getting into arguments (I know shocking for me!) with people who demand Lollipop but then can’t really say why they need it or what benefit it offers. Their entire argument is “because it’s the newest”.

Just this morning i wrote on another blog that i like be touch design, but i wish it had better specs like a monstrous battery, ir and decent speaker. Well… Obviously they were listening to me, so they can make the exact opposite 😀

All in all, I’m really disappointed… Many aspects could be upgraded, instead it’s a downgrade in many areas, and I’m not just talking about the soc (which is actually nice for me, as i’m not a gamer).
I mean: at least the elephone p8000 has a big battery, be touch 3 has nothing impressive rather than design (and that’s questionable) and a sturdy structure…

    • Galindo
      November 6, 2015

You actually say elephone P8000 is a good product? Just because it has a large battery? You did not see it ugly design, as well as post-fingerprint and difficult to use, at least, ulefone Be Touch 3 has a nice touch fingerprint, is pleased that it is the design on the front, though like the iPhone, as well, it SONY IMX214 has a shot, shooting is very good.

      • MattD
        November 6, 2015

I didn’t said that that “elephone p8000 is a good product because of tge large battery”, although it’s one of the best elephone so far, but this really isn’t much sayin’. Maybe i haven’t wrote it word by word, but the message was clearly another: many phones have the same hardware combo, BUT the p8000 has a large battery… It’s like his killing feature: like many other competitor, it has some problems, but it stands out because of his battery… Some competitor shine in other feature… But what about the be touch 3? Like i said, design and construction goes for it, no doubt about it, and the front button with the fingerprint is nice if you like it, like you said. But these are all feature we find in the first two models too! When you make the same exact phone for the third time in 6 months, you cannot expect to impress many: you just result lazy. They could have reprojected the phone adding a massive battery or other features: they had all the time to do that, and all the space to add something, since it’s one of the worst optimized phones launched this year. Instead they lazily just throw in a new chip and… Tah-dah! You have a new phone with nothing new. Really disappointing.

The 1 think i like ulefone be touch 2 is it’s build. It’s tough but beatiful. Eitherway be touch 2 had no 3050 battery (most likely it was a 2200 as it was the same weight and size as ulefone be touch 1) and suffered many problems (battery drain, screen sensitivity, reboots etc), mostly due to bad roms… Anyway i think for the price of be touch 2 (or be touch 3 if it costs about that much) people can buy better phones (meizu m2 note, Xiaomi redmi note2, Let le1 and le1s etc).

Use MT6753 is a good choice, because he is more easy to upgrade late, expect ulefone Be Touch3 can upgrade Android6.0. Also, ulefone Be Touch3 has a good exterior design, especially in front of amazing fingerprint-touch. This is a good product, the only downside is that the battery is not great, you need a power bank.

I myself is a buyer of both Ulefone Be Touch 2 and Paris, Be Touch 2 for myself and Paris for my wife. Be Touch 2 is indeed full of problems and it seems to me that Ulefone can’t make a bug-free version of Android 5.1 (or 5.0 actually) with the MTK6752 chipset. However, Ulefone Paris is a very good phone with stable software and smooth experience, and both my wife and l like it very much. One thing to be noticed is that the Paris is a combination of MTK6753 and full-functioned Android 5.1. So i guess they have found it is easier to configure a good software version for MTK6753. So i guess Be Touch 3 will be at least better than Be Touch 2.

The P7000 was a result of horrible software optimization, I have used a few phones with 6752 and none had any issues with battery life. The most likely reason we have come up with her is because the 6752 was too good of a chip, it made the “flagship” Helios X10 not needed.

Basically they just fix the battery problem.
Be Touch 2 has very low OST, due to fake 3000mah battery (real is 2500), so they put a lower power consuming soc and stop lying about battery capacity to find an acceptable battery life.

This is just what be touch 1 should have been. Such a crappy company to sell untested phones.

useless phone! i was unlucky enough to buy betouch 2. Screen broke by itself. Thanks God Gearbest replaced it, but as it took ages I swapped for a tablet. In the meantime I bought a Meizu m2 note. The best phone ever for the money and it was much cheaper too. Ulefone are liars and the ulefone gets very hot. also print finger doesnt work so no point having!!
