A short hands on video show what the $99.99 Elephone Ivory smartphone is like in the flesh.
The $99.99 Elephone Ivory has popped up on YouTube in its first hands on video. The budget phone will be released later this month and already the full specifications of the device have been revealed on Elephone’s website.
Gizchina News of the week
There are no huge surprises in the video. The phone itself looks like an updated version of the Elephone P6000 Pro, and we can see from the specs that the Ivory boasts a 2800mAh battery, 2GB RAM, octacore chipset, and 13 mega-pixel camera.
The only disappointment is that the phone is shown running Android 5.1 and that the video description says that Android 6 will come at a later date. Previously we had been under the impression the device would ship with Marshmallow. A disappointment but not a huge issue.
The Elephone Ivoy will go toe to toe with new phones from UMi, Oukitel, Doogee and others, what do you make of the new range of $100 phones on the market?
Would rather buy this than Umi Rome. UMI Rome’s camera is probably horrible.
