In a post released on Weibo, an official looking image has appeared listing off a possible 4 versions of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and their feature highlights. From the list of details it appears that each version of the Xiaom Mi Note 2 will run on a Snapdragon 821 chipset, and also have a 5.7-inch panel with Corning Gorilla Glass.

The variations between each model include the resolution of each display (either 2K or 1920 x 1080) the shape of the display (flat or curved) and whether or not the panel will be pressure sensitive.

The formatting just seems off to me. I don’t think it’s an official leak.

I think it’s fake too. That logo is an old logo of Xiaomi.

HiFi Audio in a Xiaomi device ? If this is true, it would be the first time i consider buying a Xiaomi phone.

SD821 + 5.7″ FHD + 4000mAh + 6GB/64GB + HiFi under $500 looks like a dream. Throw in a top notch camera sensor and a camera app full of manual settings and I’m in.

Only problem being you’ll have to run the car crash that is MIUI.

You’re right, unless I can rapidly put my hands on a RAW Android or AOSP based ROM. Dunno if this is common for a Xiaomi device, since i never used any of em.

I stopped using Xiaomi since MIUI 7, how has MIUI gotten so bad exactly? It was okay enough for me to still use daily without considering flashing a new ROM. When I went to Letv… EUI is such garbage in comparison that I flashed a new ROM within a few days of owning it.

The original Mi Note also has HiFi Audio

Don’t overhype HiFi audio in a smartphone.
Basically any flagship is capable of playing high audio quality, it mostly depends on the headphone/earphone you’re using.

For me, the inclusion of a mini-amp is enough!

You’re right about the headphones for most users, but when you have hi quality headphones and lossless tracks, you won’t pass on the HiFi chipset.
Coming from a Find 7 (SD801 w/o DAC), i really hear the difference with my V10 (SD808 w/ DAC) when listening to the tracks i made and exported to FLAC.

I agree with you in terms of LG V10 having better sound chip.
The biggest problem is people tend to overuse the term “high quality” headphones.
For open cans it starts with Beyerdynamic DT990/AKG K612 Pro, closed cans should be >150€.
I see many people wanting an extra DAC.. for their Xiaomi Pistons lol

        ahaha 😀

im just super excited for the ‘Edge’ version of ANY Xiaomi device , if there exists one.
i know Samsung will ALWAYS have bragging rights over this feature … but Xiaomi are experts in their own unique ways of innovation. can’t wait to see how they implement and optimise the ‘Edge’ functionality aesthetics-wise and in performance terms !

    16 mp (for 32gb version)and 12mp rear cam (for other 2 versions).
    16 mp front cam.

Or does it say 16mp and 12mp dual cam?
