Xiaomiâs smartwatch could launch on the 25th August, but insiders are warning fans to expect a hefty price tag.
We donât really know what Xiaomi have planned for their smartwatch (although we are sure it is going to be a little more advanced than their Mi Band wearable) so at this stage it could be anything from a simple analogue watch like Meizuâs or a real Android Wear device.
What we do know though is that âpeople who live sportsâ will like the new Xiaomi watch and that the RRP for the wearable will be higher than we have come to expect from the Beijing phone maker.
Gizchina News of the week
This information comes from Chinese officials via their Weibo accounts who must be privy to what Xiaomi are up to.
A rough design of the Xiaomi watch has also been sighted showing a device that actually looks like a watch with display, physical buttons and the Xiaomi logo on the front, but again this on its own isnât too much to go on.
Xiaomi are also expected to release their Redmi 4 during the 25th August event so watch out for official launch news next week.
Eagerly waiting for a android smart watch from Xiaomi!
Let’s hope it’s not another plastic square-ish iWatch rip-off stuffed with a fake OS.
If its design is more of a conventional watch and it goes with Android Wear for a sub $120 price, it may be worth considering.
Theyll 100â go with a viable os
and what makes you think itll be plastic when the majority of smartwatches at 100 bcka have great build OS is something elae but ffs is xiaomi not doogee or smth
Think about it
Meizu just released a mechanical watch with fitness tracking instead of a full blown android wear watch so i’m ready for anything. Meizu ain’t Ele or Doogee neither.
Yeah agreed – Byt theyve done something in the past like this – The PiWatch – which was a failure
Excuse me – the “Inwatch”
But yeah hopefully xiaomi launch a proper smartwatch without crappy moto style bezels
MIUI Tweaks for all Xiaomi phones from Play Market just updated! =)
