After being slammed with $1.3 in fines a few months ago, ZTE is now back with a new device. The latest from ZTE is a mid-range device called the V870, though it’s not really all too interesting. It really just plays out like your typical mid-range device, with a much higher price.
The ZTE V870 comes with the octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor, along with a pretty good 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. The display is a 5.5-inch FHD unit, and there’s also a fairly average 3,000mAh battery in there.
Gizchina News of the week
The device comes with a surprising 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. It’s covered by a metal chassis that also holds the device’s fingerprint scanner. Aside from that, ZTE also claim that the V870 will have two massive speaker, whatever that means.
The ZTE V870 will be priced at CNY2,699, which equals just about $400. It’s not a stretch to say that the V870 is overpriced, seeing how you can get better devices for much cheaper. Still, it’ll be interesting to see how the device does in the market.

trying to replace my wife’s ZTE Zmax 2 phones that have been pretty great. This would be a pretty good phone for her, spec-wise. But its way too spendy at $400
