As of a few hours ago if you go to www.google.cn (go on try it) you’ll be redirected to google.com.hk. So just as they said they would Google have left China, but left in the most half hearted way possible. Google.cn may not exist anymore, but as far as we can tell all of the Google China services are still there such as mp3 search and downloads, actually clicking on the MP3 tab will still direct you to www.gooogle.cn/homepage/music, so google.cn is still there under the surface alive and kicking.
Thankfully our fears of having to open new email accounts, and relying on Bing were unfounded as everything that worked with google.cn still does, and everything that didn’t……. still doesn’t:(

Plus you still cant search Google.com.hk for naughty words anyway, the Great Firewall is very good at keyword censoring.
