Are tablet pc’s a bubble waiting to burst? Who knows, but companies both nationally and internationally are investing a lot of time and money in to developing flat screened mobile PC’s. Apple weren’t the first, but they can definitely take credit for the huge interest and public excitement currently circulating around tablet computing.
This spy shot is of yet another iPad inspired device running a Window’s 7 operating system on an Atom N450 processor.
The Winpad as it is currently known looks very much like Apple’s iPad and features the same size (10 inch as if you didn’t already know by now) capacitive touch screen, a very similar ‘home’ button plus the all so trendy black and silver finish (what ever happened to white?).
Battery life is not quite on par with Apple’s, but the 6 hours the Winpad offers is nothing to be sniffed at, especially when considering the Winpad runs a full ‘real’ PC O.S and can do pretty much everything your desk top can do!
Gravity sensors make sure the screen automatically adjusts itself to how the unit is held and a choice of either 8GB, 16GB or 32GB of SSD memory should ensure you have enough media on hand to view when and where you want (there’s also a SD card slot for memory expansion).
We’re currently in contact with the company in hopes of bring you a review!
