China’s plans for their own manned space station will kick off next year. Two unmanned space modules, the Tiangong-1 and the Shenzhou-8, will launch in 2011. These probes will be set up to dock with one another as an essential step toward building a space station.
Once successfully docked the Tiangong-1, or Heavenly Palace, platform will be joined by the Shenzhou-9 and 10 spaceships in 2012. The shilps will be manned with 2-3 astronauts each, who will work of bringing the space laboratory online.
