China’s high speed rail network is already the longest operational high speed railway in the world with over 7,500 kilometers of track, but that’s not enough. Next year Chinesehigh speed trains hope to beat the 574.8 km/h speed record set by the French TGVhigh speedtrain in 2007.
Last Friday the Chinese CRH-380A train reached the impressive speed of 486.1 km/h, but will 12 months be enough for engineers to squeeze another 100 km/h out of it?
