China Standard Software have just struck a deal with the National University of Defense Technology to develop an alternate operating system to Microsoft’s Windows.
The move to develop a homegrown alternative to the popular Windows platform has come due to concerns over national security and industrial development.
The deal, signed yesterday is for operating systems designed for national defense and civil service use, but could eventually enter the mainstream and on to personal computers.
