The latest entry to the party gets a full alloy body, a over clocked to
1Ghz, 512mb of RAM,
Android 2.2 and a huge inch
screen!
More details and photos after the jump! As always this toting comes from
Shenzhen, but unlike most this is running a iMX515 chip based on the Cortex A8 Core. That’s nothing new you may think, but instead of running at the standard 800Mhz this little chip has been over-clocked to run at . Whack that hot along side 512mb of RAM and an
Android 2.2 O.S and you’ve got the makings of a great system. But then add a full metal (alloy) shell and a great stonking capacitive touch and you’ve got a potential winner on your hands. As you can see from these photos the is quite the same size and shape as and
iPad, and most notably it’s a little thicker, but the overall look and finish is pretty fantastic.
The measurements are 288.8 x 189.7 x 14.5mm to be exact with a weight of 830 grams. So, it’s no feather weight, however that extra bulk is due to a built in 3G unit, Micro SD card reader, bluetooth and WIFI. As with the this comes with a 30pin connector meaning if you want ot use a USB you need an adapter. Unlike the though this Shenzhen comes with one in the box! Other differences include a hard reset button situated between the connector and speaker... And the slightly larger .
Prices haven’t been given yet, but expect to pay around 2000 yuan ($300)
