The cold winter Beijing streets aren’t the most appealing place in the world when it comes to riding your bike. Fortunately the ‘Smarter Than Car’ Beijing based cycling promotion organisation have combined my three favourite pass times, drinking, biking and computer games all under one roof, by staging a number of indoor bike races at popular bars in the capital.

Up to 4 racers can compete at once on stationary bikes fitted to rollers and wired up to a computer. The 300 meter sprint races take about 20 seconds to complete, but are grueling enough to work up a sweat on all but the fittest of beer drinking armchair cyclists.
