Samsung seem to be going through a bit of a tablet frenzy at the moment. The Korean electronics giant launched the original Galaxy Tab last year with a 7 inch screen, and this year will see the launch of at least 3 more Samsung tablets; 2 x 10.1 inch models and one 8.9 inch model.
The SamsungGalaxy10.1 (not the same as the Vodaphone only 10.1v) it being hailed, by Samsung, as the world’s thinnest tablet as it measures an incredible 8.6mm thick! That’s .2mm thinner than the previous world’s thinnest tablet, the iPad 2.
But, Samsung haven’t just made the Galaxy10.1 Tablet thinner than Apple’s but also considerably lighter too! The 10 inch Android tablet weighs an impressive 595g.

Inside the super thin, lightweight and rather handsome design are some pretty meaty hardware specifications which should keep everyone from a hardened gamer to a casual web surfer more than happy.
The CPU is a 1Ghz dual-core unit, there’s a TFT capacitive screen with a superb resolution of 1280×800, there’s also Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS.
There are cameras both on the front and back, both of which outgun the iPad 2’s cameras units, the back being a 3 mega-pixel unit, the front a 2 mega-pixel unit and both are capable of HD video capture.
As with all of Samsung’s 2011 tablets, the Galaxy10.1 gets Google’s latest Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet OS.
