As we have said before, the Haipad M8 Android tablet is one of the best (although the Visture V1 is looking better) Android tablet available on the market today! And now with a price drop the, multi-touch tablet is looking like even more of a bargain!

HaiPad’s M8 was officially launched 2 months ago, where it received a lot of praise from the Chinese press who were impressed by the looks, price, performance and specification of the 8 inch, Android 2.3 device.

Gizchina News of the week

However it looks as though there could be a replacement for the M8 as the multi-touch Android device has just received a huge price drop and is now shipping for as little as $149.99!

But, what does a third of the cost of a bottom of the range iPad get you? Well how about:

  • An 8 inch, 1280*768 pixel, 5  finger multi-touch capacitive screen.
  • Android 2.3 Gingerbread, with the official Android market and access to all those fantastic applications, built in!
  • A 1.3Ghz ARM CPU which, the makers of the Haipad claim to be just as fast as a dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 chip! Plus there is 1GB RAM on board to ensure operation stays snappy!
  • 8GB of built in NAND flash storage, and if that isn’t enough for all your movies, music and other digital media there is a micro SD card reader which can read up to 32GB cards.
  • There is also HDMI out for use with a big screen TV and also a micro USB plus head phone jack, so you can listen to your music or play the latest Angry Birds game without disturbing those around you!

Obviously there are a few missing functions we would like to have seen, such as built in 3G, GPS and possibly a camera or 2, but for the low price you can’t expect everything.

Grab yourself an 8 inch, Android powered bargain over at Android-sale and pick up a Haipad M8!
