Update GooApple 3G With Latest ROM: How To!

Like many excellent Android devices out there, the GooApple 3G is a fantastic phone, and great looking iPhone 4 knock-off, yet it does have a few bugs that need working out!

Follow these simple steps to update your GooApple 3G to the latest Android ROM, which includes bug fixes and has all the old Chinese only applications completely removed!‌

Strangely, although the newROM is in English the updating process is still in Chinese, luckily it a simple process:

First thing you will want to do is download the latest English only GooApple ROM, which you can do here.
Power off your Gooapple 3G phone
Keeping Press the “-” volume key, then press “power” key at same time for about 10 seconds, the screen will display Gooapple logo, and stop at there.
Connect your Gooapple 3G phone with computer by USB cable.
Open the ApUpdate folder, and start update. Then the screen will display following window, and input “y”. The phone will update in about 1-2 minutes. Don’t unconnect the cable when it is updating.

Just press Y and off you go!

Now, enjoy your GooApple factory fresh in English without all the annoying bloatware!

I updated, but as Billy, the phone stucks at the Gooapple screen and I can’t change anything anymore. What to do?

ok, interesting note: if you go deep into the headphone hole with a small pin, you hit the reset button and everything is fixed again. 🙂

I pushed the hole that is at par with the precione headphones and nothing happens because we do this if the program does not work 🙁

Forget forgiveness was wrong I thought it was he heard the pair of headphones is true there is a button inside the 3.5mm input ok do not worry;)

hello,
i am looking for a rom file 4.54 or 4.57 with multilanguage and no longer the chinese sign into the date.
i have bought gooapple 3g with rom 4.53 and want to update it now with the new multilanguage rom.
there are posted the rom files on gooapple.com but i don´t understand how to register or how to download the files on gooapple.com (
is it possible to help me ?
is there anybody who can send me a working download link for this rom files or can tell me how to register and download on gooapple.com ?
and i have another question. how can i activate the internal gps at the gooapple 3g ? i have navigon navigation but it says there is no gps when i want to connect it to gps !?

I am not having any luck with the update. I have booted the phone, connected it, gone into ApUpdate (unzipped) and started the process. A message comes up about granting access so I click yes, same message comes up and click yes again. Then a cmd screen comes up with the only option being “n” and then a message Could not find C:……ApUpdatetemp*.txt
Any help is appreciated. Thx!

  The page you are refering to says it is for the V5 phone and not 3G. Will that update work on the 3G?

I have followed all these instructions, i get as far as the cmd.exe prompt screen but it does not come up the same as the picture above? it only has option to push “N” then it says cannot find file apupdate/temp/*.txt any help?
