Asus has finally released it’s range of absolutely stunning Ultrabooks at a press even in New York. Keep reading for photos and specifications!
ASUS Zenbook UX21 and UX31 Launched
The two new Asus super compacted laptops are obviously gunning at the Macbook Air market, and as such have taken more than their fair share of fashion tips from the ultra thin Apple computer, but thankfully Asus have given the Zenbooks enough of their own style to keep them fresh.
The first thing that grabs you when you see the svelte laptop is the lovely polished finish of the lid. After getting so used to the dull brushed finish of Macbook Pros and MBA’s the bright polished finish of the Asus UX21 and the larger UX31 looks simply fantastic.
Cheaper than a Macbook Air
Gizchina News of the week
Of course it the main question is still the price, Asus haven’t disappointed with the entry level $999 UX21 costing the same as an 11.6 inch Macbook air only with a much better specification. 128GB SSD, 4GB RAM and an Intel Core i5 CPU.
Commonly used adapters
Again the Asus Ultrabook trumps the similar Macbook Air by using more common, easier to find interfaces and plugs. The included USB to VGA adapter is especially useful.
2 Weeks Standby time
Asus also promised that the Zenbook ultrabooks would have a 2 week battery stand by time and a 2 second boot up time!
We can’t wait to see one in the flesh, we may even be tempted to part with out Mac as a travel companion too if the build quality of the Asus is as good as the Macbook Air’s!
