The iPad rumor mill is churning out more news about the soon to be announced next generation iPad, but while previous years have been touted as “The year of the iPad” could 2012 be the year of 2 iPads?
Taiwanese digital industry website Digitimes certainly think so, and are reporting that Apple could well be launching two new iPads in 2012 with the first arriving in March.
The iPad 2S released in March will be visually identical to the current iPad 2, but like the iPhone 4S update will get a faster CPU, more battery life and probably Siri.
Later in 2012, Q3 to be more precise, the true iPad 3 is expected to be available. The iPad is expected to pack a quad-core Apple A6 CPU, and get a Retina display.
Unlike most rumors we don’t have to wait to long to find out if the first is true.
