The HTC Sensation XE Beats is one of those phones which makes me look at my iPhone 4 and think just how bland the iPhone is starting to look.
It is is also a firm reminder of Apple’s lack of development in the ear bud department as the iPhone 4S still comes with the same lack luster in ear headphones my iPhone 4 came with last year, where as the gorgeous HTC phone get a lovely pair of Dr. Dre Beats in ear, bass optimised, hip hop certified headphones!
Thankfully for audiophiles living in China, HTC announced earlier today the Sensation XE Beats will officially go on sale in China mid way through November, a month after the its debut in Hong Kong, but worrying have yet to release a retail price for the Sensation/Beats headphone combo.
Dr Dre. Headphones have been on the market in China for the past few months and have proven to be quite popular desptie the extremely high price tag, with some models costing double the price of the iPod Touch’s they are connected too.
If this high price is a reflection of what the Sensation XE Beats is going to cost in China, we could be expected prices of as much as 5000-6000 Yuan ($788-$946) which is going to be a hard sell when China’s own Xiaomi phone running a similar specification costs only 1999 Yuan ($315) and the iPhone 4S is expected on the market for roughly 4999 Yuan ($788).
