Digitimes are reporting a sharp increase in prices for HDD’s over the past few weeks with 500 GB HDD’s shooting up in price from $45 to $100.
PC makers are apparently panic buying to fill their HDD inventories, with operational factories straining to keep up with demand, working at up to double their regular capacity.
