If you are like a good friend of mine, and refuse to admit that Apple actually make some great products, and continue to laugh at ‘fanboys’, even though you happen to own an iPad 2, you may well be interested to hear that China’s Tencent have made their own version of iTunes to help you sync you iOS devices.
We’re not completely sure how Apple stand on the idea of third party applications that allow you to sync your movies, music and apps, effectively cutting out the iTunes ‘middleman’, but QQ developers Tencent don’t seem to care.
Gizchina News of the week
The new App Assistant for iPhone is currently in beta and only available for Windows users and features dubious tools such as ‘one click .ipa installation’ which might be a hint that the Tencent app is pirate and Jailbreak friendly!
The App Assistant for iPhone is also currently only available in Chinese, but if you are familiar with using iTunes it should be quite easy to use and navigate.
You can get more details about Tencents App Assistant for iPhone over at their homepage where you can also download the Window’s only beta.
