Great news! All of you who have happened to buy a Chinese tablet which has a Rockchips RK2918 processor (or Tegra 2 CPU and Samsung CPU) may well be get a lovely Ice-Cream Sandwich update in the coming months!

Rockchips have confirmed the RK2918 cpu found in many Chinese made Android tablets is more than capable of running Android 4.0 and see no reason why tablets currently running Android 2.3 can’t be upgraded to Android 4.0.
Of course this means we still have to wait for the various manufacturers to roll out an Ice-cream Sandwich update for our tablets, or for a universal ROM to appear, but the fact is it is likely to happen!
This news also goes on to prove that we are likely going to see a huge number of well priced and very well made Ice-cream Sandwich tablets appearing out of China this coming year, which may put some pressure on the big boys compared to previous months.
