Digitimes are once again at the forefront of iPadmini rumors, this time stating that Apple are on track to launch a new smaller iPad in the 4th quarter of 2012.
The news apparently comes by way of sources close to Apple in Taiwan, who claim Apple are starting a newiPadlaunch schedule, and the smaller 7.85-inch iPad has some about as Apple’s answer to similar 7-inch Android tablets such as the kindle fire and also to compete against the new wave of big screen smartphones.
Apple will apparently buy their screens for the miniiPad from both LG and AU Optronics (AUO) and will launch the new smaller iPad in time for Christmas 2012!
