We have been inundated with next generation iPad news over the past week, and while there is definitive evidence a new iPad is on the way, the clues are looking more than ever to point at an updated iPad 2S rather than all new iPad 3.
First off we have the shell of the new iPad which although slightly thicker and features a new larger taper on the edges, is pretty much the same design as the current iPad 2.
Then we have the spy photo of the Apple A5X chip, which according to this source is not a quad core unit after all but instead a faster dual core chip, and a true next generation quad core A6 is still in the works!

Also according to the same source from Sina Weibo, the new iPad, or iPad 2S will feature a camera capable of recording 1080p video, we hope they also bump the pixel count up to a more generous 8 mega-pixels too.
Last and not of all least is the rumor that Siri will come installed on the new iPad, so all in all we are looking at a slightly thicker iPad 2 with faster dual core CPU, better camera, Siri and possibly a Retina display, all of which are nice features but hardly enough of an upgrade to make a true iPad 3.
