Local Chinese knock off merchants are becoming faster than ever at producing knock off or fake versions of the latest premium Android smartphones. The HTC One S managed to spawn a clone not long after launch and now the Samsung Galaxy S3 has received the knock off treatment!
Full specification details and a launch date have yet to be announced for this much anticipated clone of the flagship Samsung Galaxy model all we do know is what the Chinese factory, Bluebo, leaked on their Weibo account.
Gizchina News of the week
The Galaxy S3 clone will be known as the Bluebo L100 here in China and will feature a MTK MT6577 1.2GHz dual-core processor and most likely Android 4.0 ICS, however there is a possibility that this knock off could feature Android 4.1 Jelly Bean!
We also assume that this clone will feature either an 8 or 5 mega-pixel rear camera, will offer GPS and 3G along with all the usual Android smartphone details such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and the Google Play App store.
We’ll bring you more details as we get them!
No thanks.
Yep, knock off phones aren’t for everyone. What phone do you have?
Sounds very very tempting ! Please do keep us posted on the release dates, price, specs etc as soon as you know more. I hope they dont put Samsung logos on it (I dont want the phone to get caught at customs when European fans buy it online and get shipped over) ! The factory should make it “CUSTOMS-PROOF” 🙂
Cheers!
I think they’ll probably launch two versions one with Samsung logos for the local market and another branded up with a name along the lines of “Goophone S3”. This is what they have done with HTC One S knock offs.
Hopefully that will be enough to make them “customs proof” 😉
