So after much speculation we finally get to see the all new next generation Xiaomi M2 and ahead of launch! Keep reading to see the all newXiaomi M2design

It appears that this design is not the quad-core M2 but instead the design for the new low-cost dual-core Xiaomi named the Xiaomi M1 s.

We have already reported on various leaked designs for the Xiaomi M2. Designs ranging from the down right ugly, to the almost Meizu looking, but it seems those were just engineering prototypes as the new Xiaomi will look a lot less unique and a whole lot more boring.

Judging by the leaked specifications, and the performance of the quad-coreXiaomi M2 it looks like the Beijing based Chinese phone maker has sunk most of its budget in to creating a stable, high-perfomance phone at a wallet friendly price and rather than a kick-ass Xiaomi M2design

According to this report over at Engadget there could actually be two newmodels of the Xiaomi 2nd generation phone. One being a quad-core Galaxy S3 slaying beast while the other being a dual-core Xiaomi M1 replacement (possible the Xiaomi M1 Plus).

It also seems that there will be 3 versions of the M2 codename “2012051” and “2012052” which both get a WCDMA radios and “2012053” which will sport both CDMA2000/WCDMA dual radio.

I like it.. as long as its a performer and the design is functional, its all that matters to me. I can live with my phone not being a attention who#e!!! 😉
By the way , may i know when is this releasing or hopefully will be available for preorder ?

This definitley isn’t the Mi-2. I think it is the updated Mi one / low end xiaomi phone mentioned in your other post. This is the exact same design as the M1 with a front camera.
I know for a fact as I spoke to someone directly involved with MIUI that the Mi-2 will have a different camera surround to the M1 and come in white with the quad core qualcomm cpu.

  Cheers for that I believe you’re right (thank goodness) I was a bit shocked when I thought it was the M2 design but it makes more sense to be an M1S.

haha yes indeed, saying that though I don’t know if you’ve held or owned one before, but I own a Mi One and that picture does not do it justice, its a very well built nice looking handset, although it is getting a bit chubby by todays standards, glad we will be seeing the an update Mi-2 very soon.
The most exciting thing though about the Mi-2 has to be that completely insane Qualcomm APQ8064 chipset which is also confirmed. This cpu makes Tegra 3 look like a pathetic whimp, even the Samsyng Exynos quad in the GS3 gets completely decimated. 1.5Gb ram is also likely.
I also hear the Mi-2 looks a bit like the HTC One-X! Which lets face it is a beauty. After using the mi-one though I’m definitely gonna grab a Mi-2, MIUI is so much nicer to use than the ugly touch wiz, or lag of sense etc etc, best android build out there by miles.

  Hi Sere83, yep I was set an M1 to test when they came out. It is much better in the flesh, but for a next gen phone (the M2) I had my fingers crossed for more. My wife has a HTC One X and you are right if the quad-core M2 looks like that then it is going to be a stunner! Where did you get your info from? Cheers!

Yeah for sure, definitely would have been disappointing if they had kept the same design, as it is getting a bit long in the tooth. I doubt they will be able to top the looks of the One-X though as that really is about as good as it gets atm but something close would be amazing.
