Do you remember the first time you saw someone with a Samsung Galaxy note and you were like “OMG look at the size of that thing!” We’ll imagine something even bigger that dwarfs every 5 inchphone out there and you have Jajapad 6inch Jelly Bean Android phone! The closest you can get to a Jelly BeanGalaxy Note but bigger!
As you can see below the Jajapad is a monstrous device which looks like it could easily swallow an iPhone 4S and a Galaxy Note or a Zopo Zp900 and a Xiaomi M1s!
It’s so big I have to say that it is actually comically huge! But other than a 6 inch screen, what has Jajapad the Chinese phone company behind this creation stuffed inside this roomy chassis?
Well there’s a huge battery for starters! 3000mAh! that’s double that of the rumored iPhone 5 battery which has been all over the news today, then there is everyone’s current favourite CPU the MTK MT6577 dual-core unit clocked at a leisurely 1.2ghz along with 512MB RAM, 4GB ROM, 3G, Wi-Fi and GPS which make up the rest of the innards.
Gizchina News of the week
Due to the large 6 inchscreen we expect some pretty fine cameras and the Jajapad has a mighty fine 8 mega-pixel rear camera coupled with a not so awesome 0.3 mega-pixel up front.
So you have this huge 6 inchscreen and a whopping 3000mAh battery what OS does it have splayed across its vast surface? Well none other than Android 4.1 Jelly Bean! Which could make the Jajapad the worlds largest Android Jelly Beanphone currently available!
There are a few unanswered questions however, such as the price for this 6 inchJelly Bean phone, but more importantly what is the resolution of that mammoth screen?
What do you think is 6 inch the new 5 inch? or is 6 inches just too much!?
This is one of four or five 6-inchers launched in July or August. First came the Carpad Note5 F6. It was followed by the i9800, N9776, and N9880, all sold under various brands (such as the Viewsonic N9880). Your photo with the iPhone 4 came from an article or forum about the N9880. The N9776 uses an MTK6577 CPU; the i9800, the lesser MTK6575; and the F6 and N9880 are available with either CPU. All use Android 4.0 or 4.1. All have a resolution of 854 x 480 spread over about 15.1 square inches–the same as a 3 by 5 index card.
These contenders are part of a new breed called phablets–smartphones, like the 5.3-inch Samsung Note, whose displays are large enough to double as tablets so you can carry just one device. Pundits differ on the threshold at which a display qualifies as a phablet; some say a phablet can have a display whose diagonal measures as small as 4.5 inches. I favor “>4.9 inches; this happens to correspond to both 5.0 inches and 125mm. The term “phablet” will get more exposure in Septmber, when the 5.5-inch Samsung Galaxy Note 2 hits the market.
