The video below from Xiaomifans doesn’t offer to much on an insight on how the quad-coreXiaomi M2 functions, but judging by the video and the quality it seems that whoever filmed it shouldn’t have!

In the leaked Xiaomi M2hands on video we get a good look at the quality of the screen and even in this low quality video it’s easy to see that the Xiaomi M2’s 4.3 inch display is much better than the retina display on the iPhone 4S.

We also get a rather rushed look at the body and the design of the Xiaomi M2 in general, which looks like a rather comfy phone to hold!

The Xiaomi M2 will be available for sale in October while pre-orders of the world’s fastest quad-core Android phone will begin in September and the retail price in China is set at 1999 RMB ($313)!

Any idea which cities in China will have this? I’m thinking of flying to Hong Kong or Shenzhen to try to find it.

  It won’t be on sale until October and it is looking like you will need to preorder for it to be delivered to you. This is what they did the the Xiaomi M1 last year too.

Last year was first comes first serves and the process was pretty ok but many were sold thru scalpers on taobao so i guess organised buyers will take the mayor stake this time too. I assume China Unicom will get a share too as last year but nothing leaked so far.
I ll try to stick to my daily xiaomi routine to see when they start the lottery. Somehow i feel before december or january we wont get hold of those as numbers will be highly limited and there will be fakes around taobao,,
Damn i really want it as a second phone as i already binned M9 and MX for their shit beta testing-so-called-OS and constant force closures and switching off…
That one will make the JiaYu G3 ridiculous i mean the MI1s which is way better priced and available 23.8.

  The Mis is 1499 where as the JiaYu G3 is only 899. I think JiaYu will still have plenty of customers. I agree with you on the Meizu. I was going to try my luck with the MX as my next phone (even though I had a nightmare of a time with my M9) but now the Xiaomi M2 is out, faster, better spec and cheaper I’m getting one of those instead!

  It’s a flash Video from Tudou same for me works in FF but not Chrome. The screen on the M2 looks bright really vivid!!

I found a way to get the China price on these items if you do not live in China. I am going to give my “plan” a try, and I’ll let everyone know if I’m successful. As long as there are sites we can pre-order these china phones then we should be able to get the same price as china citizens, so @Calvin, there might not be a need for you to travel so far.

  Is it by asking me? I’ve been thinking about this for a while. I would love to open a shop but don’t want to sit on stock. So I am planning a ‘buy for’ service where I can pick up Chinese phones at Chinese prices for buyers outside of China. If I was to start it up how much % would you guys be happy paying as a ‘purchase charge’ to cover my time and expenses?

That’ll be great if you could start up that kind of service, Andi. As for the purchase charge, as long as it’s reasonable I’m sure people won’t mind paying that.

That sounds like an excellent idea. I would suggest you take something like 10% but my biggest concern is the cost of shipping. As an individual I suspect you’d have to load the price quite a lot to get shipping to e.g. Europe. Perhaps you could find out what the cost would be. Also, it would probably be a good idea for you to test each device before forwarding it on which would cover your back as well as save a lot of hassle. After all, you gotta do something for your 10%!!

It will be great if Andi can offer this service for those outside. If there are 50 orders from outside China, you already made 500% of the price, which is 5 free phones 😀 that can be further solde… :DD

About selling the phone here, maybe you should apply to be an authorized reseller so that you can get it at a whole sale price and sell it a retail price. Shipping cost in inevitable, people outside china has no choice but to pay extra for shipping cost.

@Andi you are the man! You exactly did suggest what I suggested to you in another thread from yesterday. You can do yourself business with this and for sure you will have customers like me who can take every month several pieces of these phones. If you keep it not very popular you can do it even privately so you don´t have to open up a company and have any additional expenses. You can add as much as 10% to it and everybody will be happy. Only problem is to find a shipping service where you get best shipping rates worldwide. In Hong Kong the best from the cheapest shipping services is EMS a express type of Hong Kong post with 5 day delivery worldwide. I am dealing with this and if you need some suggestions let me know here and I will write you an e-mail,ok?
