1 Million Xiaomi M1S Phone Pre-ordered in 6 days!

Xiaomi’s Vice president is reporting that the company’s new dual-core budget phone, the Xiaomi M1s, has already secured 1 million preorders!

News that Xiaomi’s new low cost M1s has acheived 1 million pre-orders is amazing! It shows just how well the company are marketing their products and just how much Chinese consumers, who usually shun Chinese made phones for foreign alternatives, have embraced the Beijing based start up!

Although 1 million MiFen (Xiaomi Fans as they are known in China) have booked the M1s phone, it is not clear just how many will be lucky enough to get their new Xiaomi phone after the first batch production is complete!

As they did with the original M1 and what they plan to do with the quad-core Xiaomi M2, Xiaomi are holding a type of lottery for MiFen and will only invite a lucky few to purchase the new 1.7 ghz dual-core phone once they are ready for shipping.

Gizchina News of the week

While this might be a little annoying to some users, they can at least rest assured that the supply of Xiaomi M1s parts is arriving at the factories on time and smoothly, and those few Chinese media outlets who have managed to receive a review unit have had nothing but praise for the new phone.

The Xiaomi M1s was launched along with the all new quad-core Xiaomi M2 late last week, and although looks very similar to the previous Xiaomi M1, boasts many updates over the older phone and at a very low 1499 Yuan price ($235).
