Zopo ZP900 Leader Photos Rear Camera Test Samples
The photos below were all taken using natural light (the flash off) on a sunny cloudless day. The best way I can describe the photos taken with the Zopo ZP900 Leader are as being ‘honest’.
While some Android phones, the HTC One X for example, tend to make colours look brighter than they do in real life, the ZP900 Leader’s photos tend to represent the actual colours seen more naturally. Some of you are going to like this while others will prefer a camera which produces brighter photos.
I personally like to have slightly brighter photos than what the ZP900 produces on automatic mode, but with HDR on or a little fiddling with the various manual setting I could easily get the Zopo to take photos how I personally like them.
No matter how you like your photos to look though you won’t be disappointed with image quality, as the ZP900 Leader takes fantastic photos and quickly saves them ready to capture even more.

Zopo ZP900 Leader camera Conclusion
The Zopo ZP900’s rear 8 mega-pixel camera might not capture the same vibrant photos as phones like the HTC One X, but this is really down to personal preference. If you want a large Android phone with an easy to use and high quality camera then the Zopo Zp900 Leader could be the phone for you!

If you can’t wait to get hold of the excellent Zopo ZP900 Leader then head over to Zopomobileshop.com where you can order this awesome dual-core MT6577 phone now!
I want it!!! 😛
when will you launch the third review
Hi Andy, so far so good, could you please make some sample videos of the phone camera in HD, could you confirm if it is 1080p or 720p the highest setting.
It’s 1080p @ 30fps. Sure I’ll upload some video 😉
Hi Andy,
I’m saying this with my tongue in my cheek !
Assuming this phone comes in a rectangular, plastic and transparent glass frame with rounded corners … do you think the Zopo company will be immune from the attentions of Apple Corp ?
Andi, can you please take sample of dim light condition? basically in normal mode, without the need to tweak the setting, that would be wonderful. My friend’s ZP200 seems like a bit dull if taking picture in dim light. Well, the picture in bright and normal lightning is good. But the dim light seems to be not as good.
Cool now I’m wondering about the other type of this phone. Aside the ram there must br something different
Hi Andi,
I’ve found another Chinese company selling a similar 5.3 phone with a dual core 1.5 Ghz processor but only with 5MP rear and 1.3 MP front cameras. Here is the website – http://android-t-mobile.honlan.com/mobile/a9.html#order.
What do you think of it?
It’s a bit tempting since it’s got a faster processor but the cameras have lower specs. The price is only 1380RMB!
I think the difference, in the 2 models are the ram and camera, 5MP and 8MP.
hello,
i have read that the 512Mo version is a 6575 not a 6577. that makes two very different phones and prices 199€ and 279€.
i may give up on jyaju G3 as i also read that 6577 handles resolution up to qHD. as for computers i am not fond of unbalanced specs. i really fear that G3 won’t be as smooth as i want until the next generation of mtk soc.
so far the zp900 and the newman n1 are still on course as my next buy.
the n820 would have been on par if amoy hasn’t released a rom with bug(s)
hopefully looks i misread about 6575 cpu thing.
i will wait for the 3rd part of the review to decide to buy it or not.
It looks really impressive!
Hi Andy …
I’m watching the ZP900 very closely – and I like what I see.
Notwithstanding my belief in the 6″ format; this might do the job VERY NICELY !
It sounds like a very good alternative to the Samsung GNOTE2 – does it have – or can it be requested to include – some good STYLUS support ?
Well, as you might know alrdy… I’m pretty new to the smartphone world and i’m very eager to get my very first smartphone.
Is it possible to get a picture of you holding the phone? I just want a better look and thoughts on how that phone fits with a person. 5.3″ sounds very large to me, and I need to know if it isn’t too clumsy.
I’m in a big dilemma here, because the G3, ZP300+, zp900 and the Newman n1 all look so good.
where can I find more infoon the mtk chips?
Hi Andi, I hav been away on a short vacation, travelling thru Belgium , Germany, France and Swiss.. will be home on Tuesday..Wait for me coz I wanna win this one !! 🙂
Haha good luck 🙂 If this comp goes well I think Zopo are hoping to provide a new Zopo phone as a prize each time a new one is launched!!
The pics see really good. I prefer natural look too. Besides if one has personal “enhancements” can manipulate the inner controls as saturation and contrast.
And there are a lot of good third apps to add effects of lomo photography, old films, HDR (although it looks great the stock hdr). So I prefer a natural look instead the pop style that pics tend to be with another phones. Said that I suggest use a cell phone camera in good conditions of good light. To night shots the best is a DSRL or at least a compact, but today there is no much difference between cell phone’s camera and the most of compact and cameras. In the posted images i would use a program as photoshop or lightroom to adjust the natural lens distortion and i am sure they don’t look different from any dedicated camera.
BTW some pics looks delicious 😀
Yep the pics are good and if you prefer a more natural and honest colour then you will love the ZP900!
Here are some more photo samples from the ZP900 https://www.gizchina.com/forums/topic/zopo-zp900-leader-photo-samples/
Wow, genuinely shocked at how good those photos are. While the large screen is nice, It is a a hard sell though really, given that exporters are selling this for $300+ inc shipping. Will soon be able to get a Xiaomi M1s for that, even less for original Mi One, which processing/updates and UI wise is streaks ahead.
Here are some more photos which I took today https://www.gizchina.com/forums/topic/zopo-zp900-leader-photo-samples/
Hi Andi,
Still any valid link of zp900 leader photo samples ? I want to look at some low light samples.
Thks.
Can’t wait for the comp though! Would love to get my hands on one…
should find a way to root this thing
Hi guy’s Gizchina forums are up and running in BETA. Please sign up here https://www.gizchina.com/2012/08/27/gizchina-forums-join-the-conversation/ and take part in the forums here https://www.gizchina.com/forums/ Cheers 🙂
I don’t understand why someone should take this and not the Xiaomi Mi-1S which has the same price (299 USD without shipping) and better specification.
Could be down to just the screen size.
Hi, is the glass gorilla?
While i was just surfing around, i found the haier w910 which is almost at the same price that the 1gb zp900 but with a smaller but hd screen and with a qualcomm cpu.
i begin to think it isreally a bad idea to shop between august and september.
Hi Andi, any updates on the lengthy video review request for ZP900 ? 🙂
@Amby super duper busy mate! I’ve almost finished typing up part 3 of the review, just need some awesome photos of the phone now (which I’ll get in the morning as it’s late now) Their will be some sample video shot with the Zopo ZP900 Leader on the Gizchina YouTube channel in about 30 min here: http://youtu.be/iEaqxBjDxSo
Full on video review might not be until next week as I’m away all weekend 🙁 But I have some great news lined up for while I’m away 😉
Hi Andi,
I want to purchase zopo zp900 having 1GB RAM and 8MP camera
I read and saw all your reviews for zopo z900, excellent work buddy
Since i found you to be a camera guy
I have 2 queries about camera of zopo z900
1. Does the camera have panaromic mode to capture photos ?
2. Does the camera have burst mode to capture 8 to 16 shots continously ?
Awaiting a response
Thanks & Regards,
Ankit K.
Hi i noticed on an italian forum that http://www.zopomobileshop.com seems not to be the official zopo site isn’t this one http://www.zopomobile.com ?
Anyway zopomobileshop.com ships zopo phones from italy at a reasonable price
So if someone else from italy is reading this post, yeah you can avoid taxes XD
