Meizu MX 4-core is getting a price drop!

If you are looking for a high performance quad-core Chinese phone that you don’t have to wait months to get your hands on, then you might be interested in learning that the quad-core Meizu MX 4-core is getting a price drop to just 2399 Yuan ($380)!

We are all getting a little annoyed by Chinese phone companies teasing us with their latest phones only them to be delayed, have the wrong specification or only available through a pre-order system (that just about covers every company from Xiaomi to JiaYu!).

There are exceptions however Oppo being one, and Meizu the other. Both companies work much like foreign brands, leaking details at appropriate times, keeping to the specs and having their devices available in stores where anyone can buy them!

So if you are looking for a quad-core bargain from China, you might be interest to learn that Meizu are going to drop the price of their current 16GB 4-core MX to the same prices as the dual-core offering, meaning you can pick up a quad-core MX with the same Samsung Exynos CPU as the Galaxy S3 for just $380!

The price drop is in celebration for the up coming Chinese holiday which begins on 1st October and ends on the 9th. I’m not 100% sure if this is going to be a permanent price drop and what Meizu are planning to do with the dual-core MX but either way it’s good news for those us looking to grab a bargain.

This is very good news Andy. Thank you so much for it.
You know if this phone is available right now at this price and where?

    Andi:

I hope this is not too much of a request, but I think it will be great if you guys do an article examining different Chinese e-retail sites and the pros and cons of each. We love reading about all these awesome Chinese devices; however, actually buying them is another thing entirely! For example, I love the Jiayu G3 and Xiaomi M2, but I’m still not sure how should I go about buying them!

@Calvin yup I will do it but I’ll have to work on it during the October holiday when I have more time. Cheers 🙂

At 380$ it’s still much too expensive IMO. I can just get a Samsung S III for probably the same amount and well it’s a Samsung S III with warranty in my country and all that.
What I would get is the Jiayu G3 as that’s a very good phone for a very good price.
Meizu always seemed overpriced to me and don’t really seem to offer anything special, unlike Oppo for instance or even Xiaomi.
