Just as we thought the JiaYu G3 saga was over and done with and we could look forward to JiaYu G3 phones being delivered to customers over the next few weeks a bombshell like this hits the news!
Various reports are coming in today from Chinese media sources (via our awesome Gizchina readers) claim that JiaYu are having more problems with the infamous G3 phone.
This time the problems aren’t to do with official certificates, documentation, delayed materials or other problems which could be attached to a third-party scapegoat! This time it seems it’s JiaYu’s quality control and manufacture which is the problem!
It seems that the JiaYu G3 is in fact shipping to customers across China but are arriving with poorly fitting displays with users reporting the 4.5 inchscreen of their new phones are either ‘deformed’ ‘twisted’ or as we can see in the photos here coming away from the body of the main phone!
Gizchina News of the week
These photos have been placed on various forums in China where member’s patiences are wearing thin and many questioning JiaYu’s ability to make a quality product!
Unconfirmed reports are suggesting that the latest batch of JiaYu G3 phones could even be delayed due to the problem which doesn’t look to have been fixed yet!
More JiaYu G3 news and updates as we get them!
Thanks to Techpunk for the tip.

F******************CK!! I jz dropped my phone in water a few days ago.. I need this now! I dnt give a damn if the screen is coming away, i’ll effing super glue it if i have to but just give me the bloody phone Jiayu!!
Andi, don’t be so hard on those poor Jiayu quality control workers.
They must be exhausted cracking wallnuts all day with our phones.
Seen these pictures at launch day (when the first buyers got there phone).
Bought tablets of Anovo (Ainol), Zenithink, Pipo, Teclast, etc from the first batch and they all can have some crappy problems like these (screen problems, wifi problems, bad soldering, no charging, you name it).
You are just unlucky if you do have this kind of problem, but in the first batch the chance of having a defective/problematic unit is just higher then in second and following batches.
Most of the time the second batch has small problems left and the third got most problems ironed out. As this was known a few days ago i do not see to much of a problem with the next batch (in terms of delay).
Then again if of these 5.000 units, 500 got this problems (That is a lot of units for DOA). There will be a lot of commenting on the forum but still 90% of the units is more or less ”perfect”.
So just remember that probably 90%+ phones does work ”perfectly!” That does put this in to perspective a bit.
Then the second batch will probably be delayed just a bit or even not delayed but it will 90% sure fix this problem as this is costing Jiayu a lot of money (RMA’s).
So summarizing:
There are problems, no doubt they will be fixed before this batch (without to much delay).
And do not forget the big brands like Asus with for example there first Transfomer (TF101) units. The first batch was a ”mess”, screen bleed and a few more problems. These where allmost all fixed with the second batch. Or search for Nikon D800 problems (first batch).
Most of the time it just sucks to be a buyer of the first batch as they all got problems.
This just shows that Jiayu is no different!. I just hope they do iron it out correctly/fast/good.
