JiaYu G3 delayed again this time we get a ridiculous excuse!

I’ve been wanting to get this phone for two months now since it was very cheap considering its features. Those two months however have since passed and during that time I’ve saved enough to buy an LG Optimus LTE LU6200. That phone is a bit more expensive than the Jiayu G3 but at least it something I already have in my hand right now.

I’m glad I didn’t commit to a G3 preorder from online sellers even when I had the urge.

Still, I’d like to get a G3 someday just to try it out for a while then give it as gift to my younger brother. If it ever comes out before xmas, I might just do it.

Muhaha! I think JiaYu wanted to make a hype around themselves, but they screwed it up big time. Everybody was talking about them in positive context, and it may have multiplied their sellings. The promise of G3 was a sensation, no doubt. A fantastic phone for an unbelievable price. But, I think, G3 is like the Yeti: many talk about it, but nobody has ever seen it. And we won’t. The guys at JiaYu may have miscalculated the price, and now they are finding ridiculous excuses instead of admitting that they will not be able to sell their phone for the promised price. But why not admit? Why can’t they say: “okay, it will cost 230$ instead of 143$, because […]”. It would be a more professional attitude instead of weaving this net of lies, and completely ruining their already bruised renomé.

I see good things and bad here.

The bad thing is, Jiayu probably had issues trying to produce a phone with such good specs at a low price. Doubtless they are probably using second line components somewhere: For example IPS screens rejected by first tier manufacturers like HTC. They probably have supply problems here.

The good thing is they are desperate to please their customers.

I think Jiayu should be honest and just tell what really is the problem. we customers would understand and appreciate it from them, specially now that their reputation is in the negative zone. we would appreciate it with all the delays if they could installed the jelly bean OS to ease the customers patience… but if this would further delay the phone because of the jelly bean, then we would just accept the ICS OS. we appreciate the free accessory but its the phone that we want.

Well, do you understand chinease good? Because i can’t really get how you get this from source topic. It says “The 2,108 batches G3 has issued part of the rest of us will be finished within the agreed time.” ALso it says that whose who rdered on 10th OCtober will get their phones on FRIDAY 19 instead of 17 (just 2 days later), so in compensation theyll get free accesories.

Last month I decided to buy a Chinese phone from Fastcard…I ordered and paid for ihtc one S, the website stated that they have like 98 of them on stock. Well a week or so later, no stock, after I complained where is my DHL number.They gave me a fake one. Said ok, if it is not on stock send me something else, and stated what I liked for the same amount of money. Guess what, non of them were on stock, I would have to wait some more, so they get them either from the factory, or it was at the factory for upgrading or they gave me yet another fake DHL number. I called in Paypal, to resolve the issue. Did not receive nothing yet, no device no money just fake DHL numbers. So I decided to order from Ali…There was this Ant…something, they had stated that the item is on stock, and that it will ship out in 3 days. Well nothing yet and it has been more than three days, just a prolonged time to ship out the item. I do not know how these guys operate, but I guess all of these shops, are fake. Since, they state one thing and do another.I ordered Jiayu G2 6577 1GB…and I doubt I will ever see it in person. What do you guys recommend, from who to buy, that will have things on stock and ship them out as paid? Kind regards

I will give them one more day to provide shipping number, and if nothing happens, I will go to a local shop and buy one LG 4X, at least I know I will get it, and I will not have to wait for some laim excuses. Although I was really looking forward to that G2 6577, as I was thinking of using it as an alternative for a couple of months, and than buying a new phone next year.But one Paypal claim and one not yet canceled order from Aliex… sums up to one decent phone. Since iPhone 5 is way overpriced,and I do not like the policy from Apple any more, although I was using their products, but slavery, suicides, etc…is is just too much.Every one has S3, and S3 mini is just a joke. What were they thinking with such a phone?

Well Jiayu G3 is very promising, but now its testing my patience

I have searched few other phones which are in same league as Jiayu G3 or may be a bit $20-$40 more than Jiayu G3, but they are excellent phones

– Amoi N820 has same specs as G3, only diff is screen resolution and price a little more abt $20 more

– Subar Dream X it has same specs as G3, price diff is abt $15, better 3000 maH battery, diff in screen resolution + 8GB SD card free. This phone is going to come in end of october. It will eat up market for dual core if Jiayu G3 dont keep their promise, this is my perspective

– Newman N2 is also a good alternative, will be launched tommorow
