Huawei launch the 5 inch Quad-core Ascend D2 to scare off the Oppo Find 5!


Huawei have been in the news a lot over the past few days with mysterious Windows 8 phones and now the arrival of the quad-core Huawei Ascend D2! More details after the jump.

Huawei officially launched the Ascend D2 earlier today in Shandong province where the company excited the crowd with the D2’s impressive specification and good-looking design.

The phone runs a quad-core 1.5 Ghz CPU which help run the 5 inch screen and offer full HD playback, if that wasn’t enough then Huawei have gone on to give this Oppo Find 4 killer, a 13 mega-pixel rear camera and the latest Android OS, 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Other features include a 1.3 mega-pixel front camera and 3000mAh battery along with all the usual Android smart phone functions.

    Needs definitely a 2GB RAM.
    Hope the price will be low but I don’t think Huawei are going to do us a favor in that sense πŸ™ .

    I found an article about the Oppo Find5 but it’s in Chinese.
    What i got out from it was that the Oppo Find5 official launch was postponed to 2013.
    Could you please read it so you can tell us what is going on?

    It seems I was right in my decision to wait and NOT BUY the Xiaomi m2 (50k 1st round for… China?!). I knew that more sooner than later brands like Huawei & Company will release bigger screen phones.

    I’ll look after it, maybe for Xmas would be nearly impossible to choose, with lots of high end machines already available (Xiaomi… ?).

      Only thing wrong with the Find 5 is that it lacks dual sim functionality.

    Any more info on specification… or is it safe to assume that it has 2gb ram coz its going against Xiaomi M2 and Oppo Find 5 ?
