Chinese
tablet maker Taipower tease
Android fans with their images and specifications for its
8 inch iPad mini clone.
iPad mini clones are going to be the
tablet to make for many Chinese companies over the next few months and Taipower are going to be one of the first brands to offer one.
The T88 will be slightly larger than Apple's tiny
tablet due to an
8 inch screen and thicker bezel. It also lacks a physical home button and the iconic half eaten
Apple logo on the rear, but other than these slight cosmetic differences it would be hard to tell the two apart.
Taipower claim that their
iPad mini clone will measure in at just 8.6mm and will feature a dual core Rockchips 1.6Ghz CPU, 1GB RAM, 4500mAh battery and dual-cameras.
Android 4.1 is the flavour of choice here which may or may not get an iOS skin to complete the faux look.
Personally I love the look of this little
tablet and am keeping my fingers crossed for a MIUI release so I can make my own Xiaomi
mini tablet with the T88.
