Phone brands Zopo, Neo, TCL, Lenovo and more are all preparing to launch flagship phones in just a few weeks time all of which will come equipped with MediaTek’s new quad-core MT6589! Keep reading for more details!
It’s beginning to look like 2013 is going to be the year for low-cost quad-core phones, thanks largely to the imminent release of Mediatek’s MT6589 CPU, but which brands are planning MT6589 phone next month?
Zopo Leader Max
The Zopo Leader Max will become the new flagship model for Zopo and will boast such goodies as a 5.7 inch 1080p HD display, 2GB RAM, either a 8 or 12 mega-pixel rear camera, 2 mega-pixel front camera and of course an MT6589 CPU. While Zopo haven’t gone on record about any details, it is expected the Leader Max will get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and could cost as little as 1600 Yuan ($256).
Neo NO3
The Neo N03 is also expected to make an appearance in December, and will take over flagship duties from the popular N02. Like the Zopo Leader Max, the Neo N03 get’s a powerful quad-core 1.3Ghz MT6589 CPU but with a 5.3 inch display. 1GB RAM, 4GB ROM, Android 4.0.4 and a 12 mega-pixel rear camera are the only other details we’ve heard on the grapevine.
TCL ??
TCL’s entry in to the MT6589 arena is still shrouded by mystery, but the brand are expected to be launching a new phone which could be seen as early as next week!
