Lenovo S890 has 5-inch display and dual-core MT6577T CPU!

The coming year is going to be flooded with powerful 5-inch phones, and it looks like Lenovo are hoping to get in the market ahead of everyone with the new Lenovo S890.

With so many low-cost, big performance phones this year, the Lenovo S890 bring mixed feelings on first view. The design and overall look of the phone looks great, then there is the 5-inch screen, 8 mega-pixel rear camera, and 1.2Ghz dual-core MT6577T CPU which all add up to make a solid phone.

However, the Lenovo S890 is listed at 1599 Yuan ($256) which is more than similar phones, the OS is only Android 4.0 ICS and the screen’s resolution is only 960 x 540. While there is no denying the S890 is a solid phone, I just don’t see the point in buying this when in a few months time we will be getting 1920 x 1080 screens and quad-core CPU phones at similar prices.

What do you guy’s think? Is the Lenovo S890 still a great buy, or would you prefer to wait?

I would agree, but I see an advantage of Lenovo in the design, because it looks really great. But the price is definitely too high and I think that in few months drops under $180 which is IMHO quite reasonable price for that phone.

It looks great, price is a bargain compared to others with the same specs. Already bought online, looking fwd to receiving it.
