Oppo Find 5 Launch: What we expect!

Unless you have been living without an internet connection, you will have heard that today is the day of the Oppo Find 5 launch! It is one of the most high profile phone launches of the year, and this is what we expect to hear!

There are a lot of expectant Android phone fans waiting for news of the Oppo Find 5, and with the launch just a few hours away tensions are rising. So let’s sit back and take stock of what we already know about Oppo’s latest flagship Android device.

Oppo Find 5 Specification

Oppo Find 5 specifications leaked ahead of launch.

Thanks to various leaks, one coming from an Oppo distributor in the U.S, we have a pretty accurate idea of what the Oppo Find 5 will be packing at launch. Unless there is a major shake up we expect the Find 5 to get a large 5-inch 1920 x 1080 display with 441PPi. Performance should be pretty astonishing thanks to a quad-core Qualcomm S4 CPU and 2GB RAM, while Android 4.1.2 is expected to ship on the phone.

The only details we are not 100% sure about are the size of the battery and whether or not the Oppo Find 5 will come with an 8-12 or 13 mega-pixel rear camera.

Oppo Find 5 Availability

Oppo are looking to offer their new phone to an international audience and have even launched an English website for fans to get the latest specs and news. As for a date of release, we personally don’t think the Find 5 will be fully available until January 2013, but a few unit’s could be primed and ready to ship as soon as this week for review purposes.

The Find 5 is expected to launch similar to other Oppo devices meaning it will be available in store as well as online. Demand is going to be extremely high for this phone, but it is still going to be easier to buy than a Xiaomi!

Oppo Find 5 price

Pricing was leaked along with the specification, so international buyer should expect to pay $499 off contract, while Chinese customers might receive a slightly lower 3000 Yuan price tag (which is expected to drop further in to the New Year).

Oppo Find 5 Rivals

The Nubia Z5 is one of the main rivals for the Find 5.

While the Find 5 is going to be a sort after phone, it isn’t the only 5-inch 1080, quad-core phone from China. ZTE will launch it’s new Nubia brand with the flagship Nubia Z5 being it’s flagship device, and HTC have the 1080p equipped HTC Butterfly already available for pre-order across China.

LTE,BSI CMOS HDR with sapphire cover or something like high speed video modes. Guaranteed super timely OS updates.

No way is it going to be $499 when a Nexus4 is $299. I say $399 max for a relatively unknown Chinese brand. I imagine the Z5 will come in under one way or another though.

Most important, Thin Bezel like the HTC DNA/M7 or ZTE Z5, NOT like the leaked pics with phablet look and wide bezel, otherwise it wont sell at all.

the price is way too high for a non branded china phone. US $250 to 300 max. Anymore and thwy will have very low volume.
