With Oppo launching the Oppo Find 5 today, rival manufacturers across China (the globe) are hurriedly trying to get their phones on the market ahead of Christmas. The Nubia Z5 could be the first and is expected around Christmas day, but could it also be the thinnest?
The Oppo Find 5 launch (later today) is one of the most anticipated Chinese phone launches of the year. Knowing what we do about the specification, and judging by Oppo’s design and attention to create super thin phones, we are expecting a lot from their latest flagship phone.
But it’s not only the public’s attention Oppo have managed to grab, as rival’s ZTE are also planning to launch their 5 inch 1080 phone soon, and it could be even thinner than the Find 5.
Leaked photos of the Nubia Z5 claim to show the thickness of the phone compared to the iPhone 5 (see above) which shows the 5 inch Nubia Z5 to measure in at an amazing 7.6mm!
On the specification front, the Nubia Z5 is rumoured to be very similar to the Oppo Find 5 and the HTC Butterfly and will ship with a quad-core CPU, 5-inch 1920 x 1080 screen, 2GB RAM and a 12 mega-pixel camera. No details of pricing but we expect the Z5 to cost around $450-$500 and will be available from around the 25th December!
All these new phones are starting out price themselves as well. You can buy a real Samsung 111 16 gig for under $450.00 here in OZ now and you don’t need any rooting.
On contract? The Nubia price is off contract.
Hi Andi awesome website, anyway i just wanted experience of knowing what to expect from electronic price’s, what do you think might be the price of the Huwaei Mate phablet??
What you don’t see in the picture is the camera of the Z5 on the right hand side which makes the width difference nonexistent. They had better made the back side of the phone flat and fitted in a bigger battery.
I could give a flying fuck about the thinness of the phone. How wide is it?
