Manufacturers big and small are bounding on to the quad-core, 5-inch screen bandwagon in time for the new year. The latest in a very long line is the Neo N003 quad-core MT6589, 5.3-inch phone.
Neo came from no where earlier this year with their dual-core N002 to quickly become of the hottest Android phone makers in China’s domestic market, and like most brands they haven’t wasted anytime on their next generation device.
The Neo N003 will replace the N002 as the flagship phone when it arrives on sale next year, and like bigger brands such as Oppo, ZTE and HTC, Neo have chosen to tread the big screen powerful CPU route.
A large 5.3-inch 1280 x 720 display will dominate the face of the N003 which a 12 mega-pixel CMOs image sensor will take its position around the back.
Under the hood Neo are playing it safe and are opting for a quad-core MT6589 cpu clocked at 1.3Ghz, 1GB RAM and 8GB of built in storage.
No word on pricing or the release date just yet, so be sure to keep checking back.
It should have 2GB of RAM and at least 16GB of ROM with microSD and at least tempered glass. At the right price then it is hot.
It’s my belief that we need to see ‘OTA upgrade-ability’ from China’s Second Tier manufacturers.
Can they … will they … do they want to … make certain that their customer’s get what they want and need.
The Second Tier is distinguished by … NO OTA UPGRADES …and some of us out here, trying to sell their products, are worried about this.
When will it change ?
