I’m quite fond of the HTCOne X. It’s a great looking phone with a fantastic camera and awesome performance, but in this day and age it is struggling to keep up. Enter the HTCOne X’s successor the (codenamed) HTC M7!
According to sources close to HTC, the Taiwanese phone maker are preparing to launch the newHTCM7 at the Mobile World Congress next year and features some very impressive upgrades over the One X and current One X+.
For starters, the HTCM7 is expected to receive a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core CPU running at a cool 1.7Ghz, there will also be 2GB RAM on-board not to mention Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as standard!
As I mentioned above, the One X has a very impressive camera but the M7 hopes to out perform it’s older brother with a new 13 mega-pixel and larger f/2.0 aperture. HTC are calling this new set-up Cinesensor and claim that both slow motion and HDR performance will be greatly improved. This sounds a lot like the Sony Exmor Pro sensor the Oppo Find 5 is using (take a look here for sample photos).
The 4.7-inch display of the HTCM7 has been updated too and promises to bring full 1080 HD to the phone and a pixel density of 468PPI!
