Chi Kam’s Projector smartphone uses TI DLP technology for 50% increase in brightness

Projector phones have always been are niche product, but as big brands such as Samsung begin to pave the way, smaller Chinese firms are jumping on the bandwagon to ride the wave.

Chi Kam haven announced details for their new Android powered projector smartphone which uses Texas Instruments new TI DLP technology. What that means to you and I is a 50% increase in brightness over traditional projector phones.

This extra brightness will certainly help when attempting to use the feature to project movies or images on a wall in brighter conditions, and will obviously improve the viewing conditions for those using their phone as a makeshift home cinema system.

Having said that, Chi Kam have equipped this phone with just a 2000mAh battery meaning you will run out of juice in around an hour, which is about the same time the Avengers start kicking butt!

Not much has been announced in regards to the phone portion of this device. We don’t know the screen size or resolution, amount of RAM or the camera, but we do know a dual-core MT6577 CPU will be running whatever is in it.
