Just when you think Nexus 7 is cheap and affordable enough, along comes another which is even cheaper!
The Galapad is a quad-core Tegra 3 CPU equipped tablet which boasts a 7″ IPS display, 3D-Gyroscope and GPS. It comes with Android 4.1 and 1GB ram which is the expected minimum in the current tablet market, plus there’s a front camera.
However, there are a few points which I (and likely other tablet users) will be disappointed about. Firstly the resolution is rather low at just 1024 x 600 where as similar devices are getting 720p and 1080 screens. Then there is that front camera which is only 2 mega-pixels in a world of 5 mega-pixel offerings!

And that’s not all! User feedback suggests the battery life is not that satisfactory due to the small capacity (3500mAh), with most buyers stating if never manages the official stand-by time of 300 hours!
So, are you disappointed after all those cons of the Galapad? Well when you consider that this is a 999 Yuan tablet ($160) and features a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU, GPS and gets a micro SD card reader then I can’t help but think you get what you pay for! In this case a cheap, powerful, but not exactly breath-taking tablet.
