Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to be launched at CES 2013 !

Corning is going to show us the latest Glass Technologies at CES 2013, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, which is expected to be found on a number of flagship devices his year.

As you can expect, the new tough glass will be a big leap forward, with the Corning team stating they have  invented a new type of material which makes the glass less brittle. This is especially good as the current trend for narrow bezel devices calls for stronger, shatter-proof screen.

Gizchina News of the week

Gorilla Glass 3 is said to use feature  “Native Damage Resistance” which basically mean it requires three times the amount of force to to scratch the display. Overall scratch resistance is said to be 40% better than previous Gorilla Glass, while remaining 50% stronger if you ever manage to scratch it.

Corning will of course be putting their money where their mouth is at CES and will have a demonstration of just how tough the new glass is at their booth.
