Lenovo aren’t known for their flagship devices, but this is all expected to change at CES where it is rumoured the Intel Merrifield equipped Lenovo K5 will be unveiled!
When you think of manufacturers who really push the envelope and manage to keep crowds on the edges of their seats, Lenovo isn’t a someone who springs to mind, but according to sources close to the Chinese tech giant we should keep a close watch over them at CES!
Thanks to a source on Weibo, we have learned that Lenovo will be launching a new flagship Android device at the show named the Lenovo K5.
As you would expect the Lenovo K5 checks many of the same boxes as many of the 5-inch 1080 phones heading to market this year, but with the exception of dual-core Intel processor!
Gizchina News of the week
It is expected the K5 will make use of the new dual-core Intel Merrifield CPU which was recently spotted in benchmarks running Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1, and managed a NenaMark score of 58.30 and an Antutu score of 31,612!
Furthermore, it is expected that the dual-core Merrifield chip will support LTE right from the start!
Unfortunately no images of the purported Lenovo K5 have been leaked, but further specification details reveal the phone will have a 5.5-inch 1080P display with 404ppi, 13 mega-pixel rear camera which can capture 15 photos per second and will measure in at less than 7mm!
We’ll be watching this news closely!
