China’s Ginoee are preparing to launch an all new carbon bodied flagship phone for the Chinese New year, the quad-core GN818T! Keep reading for more details.
Ginoee are a large, if not overly exciting maker of Android phones here in China. In fact the chances that you have seen or used a Ginoee device are pretty high as they specialise in OEM for other brands.
But like ZTE and Huawei before them, Ginoee are gearing up to turn the limelight on themselves with the launch of a new quad-core, flagship phone for 2013!
Gizchina News of the week
The Ginoee GN818T or Ginoee Sword will be the first carnon bodied phone they have every produced, allowing the phone to be super light, durable and thin at just 7.6mm.
According to leaked details from China’s communications ministry, the new phone will feature a 1280 x 720 4.65-inch AMOLED display, a 1.2Ghz quad-core MT6589 CPU and a 1800mAh battery.
We can also assume the GN818T will receive a 13 mega-pixel rear camera, 2GB RAM, Android Jelly Bean 4.1 and will go on sale ahead of the Chinese New Year holidays which begin next month.
118g! O_O
Wish manufacturers would put this in lower priced phones with jump 1gb ram, 2gb/4gb rom and 8mp camera as this is a very nice cpu but these phones cost a lot.
A Gorilla Glass would complement that carbon body nicely making it one tough brick of a phone. Any info of that, Andi?
Well, Andy, please correct “Gionee”, not Ginoee
