The Archos GamePad has been in the works for almost half a year now, but if you happen to be at CES this week you get a peek at the much-anticipated Android portable gamingdevice.
The Archos Gamepad doesn’t have the same grunt as Nvida’s Project Sheild, but for those of you who are less of a core gamer, but still want a dedicated device the GamePad could be one to look at.
Gizchina News of the week
Based around a 7-inch 1024 x 600 display, the Archos packs a quad-core 1.6Ghz CPU and 1GB RAM which runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, which is said to perform pretty well with no notable stuttering or freezing while gaming.
Archos plan to have the GamePad ready for a U.S launch in the next month or so with pricing expected to be around the $170 mark!
