2013 is a mere month old, but the folks over on the Neo forums are already getting excited about the possibilities 2014 will bring and what the Neo N004S phone will be packing.
From the looks of the ‘wish-list’ specification, this banner for the Neo N004S is more likely fan-made rather than official specs, however with smaller manufacturers here taking note of what their customers want some of these specs could actually make it in to the new phone.
Gizchina News of the week
A 5.5-inch screen with a 1920 x 1980 resolution spans the entire front of the bezel-less Neo N004s while beneath lies 4GB RAM, 128GB of internal memory, support for GSM, WCDMA, TD-SCDMA and LTE 4G.
Cameras are very impressive with the front being an 8 mega-pixel shooter and the rear a 15 mega-pixel sensor from Sony.
Strangely the N004S concept is running a quad-core Mediatek MT6589 CPU, rather than the 8 core processors we are expecting, but does also get NFC and Android 5.0!
Sounds all too good to be true.
I would have to say that that is most likely to be fake :<
I've actually been following the mobile development scene for a while, and I recognized that image as supposed "leaked" images of the Galaxy S3 from before (some are even using it for the S4 now).
I'm not sure about the other specs as well, but as I know, the MTK6589 can only accomodate a 13mp camera at max, so 15mp seems a bit far fetched.
I'm definitely ruling this one in as fan made.
It was also used as HTC M7 “render” briefly. Honestly they make it so easy to spot fake shit.
Borderless display? Keep dreaming.
the image says MTK6599 not 6589, FAKE!
these may be fan made renderings .
Yes, the image says MTK6599 which is a octa-core chip running 1,2 GHz, not a quad core.
Hey Ying Hua, I wanted to know if the Neo 4 phone will work with Glo mobile in Nigeria cos I really want to be the first to lay my hand on this device and please refer me to the English web site of the Neo phones.
PS you can look out for the Glo mobile frequency from this website. http://www.ncc.gov.ng
Please I would be glad to get the reply soo.
Cheers
@Tony Wills, omo Naija, you no fit carry last. The phone is just a Neo fans rendering, it’s not real. In fact the 6899 isn’t even in existence. Bezel-less phones are still on the drawing board. These guys here are doing a great job. I’m just hoping Nigerians tap into the opportunities here in the China tech industry.
Big up to GizChina.
MTK6599 is most probably real, search around for its info. Though I doubt any phone will use it anywhere near the first half of this year.
Yeah Lontong, you’re right. I’m waiting for a MTK6589 5.7in phone from Zopo or THL. Do you know any other good OEM offering budget phones?
